ROOTED

Stay rooted. Grow with purpose.

Rooted offers literature-based learning, practical skill-building, trade exploration, service opportunities, and personalized lessons for students who are ready to grow with purpose.

Our approach

Learning should feel connected to real life.

Rooted draws from the richness of Charlotte Mason, Montessori, Waldorf, classical education, and hands-on learning to build custom experiences from the ground up. From curriculum to one-on-one lessons to trade pathways, we design with the whole student in mind because there is no such thing as a cookie-cutter learner.

Rooted Gathering

TK-12 Wednesdays, 10-3

Rooted Gathering is a weekly Wednesday drop-off program for TK through 12th grade students, with families always welcome to attend. Each gathering includes beautiful custom curriculum, all supplies, living books, hands-on discovery, and monthly parent workshops.

Rooted Pathways

Grades 6-12

Trade immersion for grades 6-12, designed to help students discover real skills, meaningful work, and possible future paths. Each trade is offered in beginner, intermediate, and advanced four-week sessions, allowing students to sample a skill or continue deeper into a pathway they are excited about. Dates and times are coming soon.

Rooted Hands

Service & mentorship

Rooted Hands is the service and philanthropy branch of Rooted, giving students opportunities to serve their community through meaningful acts of care, generosity, and practical help. Students will learn that service is not simply an activity, but an honor. Through community projects and outreach opportunities, they will practice compassion, responsibility, and the blessing of using their hands for the good of others.

Rooted Foundations

One-on-one lessons

Rooted Foundations offers personalized one-on-one lessons for TK through 12th grade students who need focused support, deeper engagement, or a more hands-on approach. Lessons are available in history, science, language arts, and life skill math, with each session shaped around the student in front of us.

Rooted Curriculum

Custom learning resources

Rooted Curriculum offers immersive, cross-curricular, hands-on studies built around beautiful living books. Designed for family-style learning and suitable for all ages, each study invites students to see, touch, taste, hear, smell, and experience the world around them as learning moves beyond the page. Through the pages of a book, students can sail into foreign worlds, cultures, landscapes, biomes, histories, and ideas, connecting literature with real discovery and meaningful work.

Founder note

Built from a life of home education.

Rooted was founded by a homeschool graduate, longtime homeschool mother of seven, and curriculum writer with 25 years of experience educating her own children and 10 years of experience writing custom curriculum.

Her work is shaped by nature study, literature, practical life skills, and the belief that students learn best when they can put their hands to what they are learning.
